Dimmers with potentiometer – the PROP, PROPM, PROPI315 series
Govena dimmers enable the seamless adjustment of illumination power. They are produced as OEM and Govena-branded modules for customers, and also as a finished
product, the so-called “Metal Line”.
Advantages
Savings
- Energy savings of about 40%, thanks to the capability to adjust the brightness of the light
- High efficiency – low losses
Safety
- Returnable protection – resumes normal operation after the cause disappears
Convenience of use
- Operability in a two-way switch system.

An operating dimmer checks if the executive element (TRIAC) is switched on in each half of the sinusoid. A triple failure to switch the executive element on in any half of the sinusoid causes the activation and locking of the dimmer until it is switched on again. This prevents the component from becoming constant when there is load from a toroidal or a conventional EI transformer, and thus protects the transformer against damage. |
